This Dennys was picked up by a new franchise and it is now completely remodeled with the newest Dennys interiors. But the biggest change is the new staff and management they show interest in learning to be the best they can be with emphasis on the customer. I'm moving soon close to the local and I couldn't be more pleased to have this new restaurant in my community. Steven C.

Last night we were heading to Wentzville to get a late dinner around 10pm. As we got near LSL Blvd. on I-70, I decided that we should have Denny's instead - big mistake. The store looks far better than it ever did; before the remodel it was dark, dated, and a bit grungy. Now it's nice and open and bright. We were seated promptly and told our server would be by shortly. Normally I wouldn't name names here, but considering how our service ended up being I'm going to make an exception and state that our server was Ian. He did drift by maybe 5 minutes after we were seated; which based upon their staffing and business I thought was a touch excessive, but no big deal. He got our drink order (soda/water for me tea/water for my companion) and disappeared for well in excess of 5 minutes. As he was gone so long we made a decision to order an appetizer first and then our meals as we based upon the seemingly lack of attentiveness to that point we were afraid if we ordered them together that they would come out together so we ordered a "build your own sampler" with chicken strips, cheese sticks, and jalapeno bottle caps; as well as a cheese quesadilla & asked him to give us a couple more minutes on our entree order. Well Ian disappeared again for a good 5+ minutes and then finally appeared up at the register on the counter and entered our order. I know it was our order as he was hollering back to the kitchen what he needed as he keyed it in - as he was shooting the breeze with someone on our side of that counter. I'd like to say a customer but the gentleman was there when we got there and was still there when we left well in excess of a hour later and we never saw him order/eat/etc, so perhaps a "friend" of his. 15-20 minutes after we had ordered our appetizers Ian returned with them and took our entree orders - in the time between entering our appetizer order and returning with it, he spent nearly the entire time talking with an older couple in the dining room. Not taking their order, not doing anything else but chatting with them, so it's not like he was actually working which I could have accepted. We ordered - I chose the biscuit & gravy dinner and my companion ordered the peanut butter cup pancake breakfast. Now as far as the appetizers went, the quesadilla was good but was missing the pico it should have had. Now I like pico, but my companion can take it or leave it so we let it go; though later on the same issue came up at a table across from us as well. The "sampler" - well the cheese sticks and marinara were fine. The jalapeno bottle caps were *very* small, though there was plenty of them and they were good and spicy. The chicken strips were a joke. The two we got were literally the size of a hot dog both in length and girth, really disappointing. The bottle caps being spicy led to me finishing both my water & soda; and my companion was out of her tea & most of her water and Ian had not been back by. Now he did seat somebody and actually take their drink order and then returned with their drinks and took their dinner order, so it's not like he wasn't in the dining room - but he never returned to our table. Finally a good 25 minutes after he had dropped off our appetizer he brought our food. He did note that we needed drinks & said he'd go get them. Well, fast forward 10+ minutes - we still have no drinks, we've watched him bring refills to another table, and I'm now DONE with my dinner. I finally couldn't take it any longer and decided to get the manager which is something I literally almost never do. I caught her on her way to another table and asked her to come to our table when she had a moment. She did, and as she did Ian appeared with the drinks we should have had 30+ minutes prior - of course he only brought the soda/tea and forgot the water - so he headed back for that. I explained my issue to the manager - and I did point out that the food itself was just fine and in fact most of it was very good. She apologized & ended up taking some money off of our bill which she didn't need to do as we ate the food and for the most part it was in fact pretty good; but as bad as the service was I did appreciate it. Frankly I normally would have dropped things and probably not even have written this review; but she made what I feel was a mistake. That mistake was not pulling Ian from our table. He showed up a few minutes later to collect my plate while my companion was still eating and managed to make a snide comment while he was doing it. I've been out of the restaurant business for a long time; but back in the day if I got a complaint about the service - I would have put another server (and they did have others) on the table in question. Instead leaving him on our table and him making the comment did nothing but re-agitate us. To sum this up Reddit style: tl;dr: Nice remodel of the old store - looks great; same old sorry service. Do NOT recommend going here at all....

I've spent time in the restaurant industry, so usually I am pretty patient and understanding when it comes to service. Never really experienced anything like this. From time we were sat, it took 15 minutes for a greet, and, 20 minutes after placing our order, we still had no food. The table next to us (different server) ordered after us and were finished before we got our food. When we finally got the food, it was lukewarm, and the omelette was wrong (wife asked for a Philly omelette without peppers; she got an omelette without peppers, onions, and mushrooms). The neighboring table felt sorry for us, and mentioned us to the manager, who came over and, after some checking, revealed that the server had waited 13 minutes after taking our order to put it into the system. Throw the server under the bus...huge red flag. The manager herself brought out the mushroom, cheese and onion combo, and then mentioned that the mushrooms didn't look cooked...after setting the dish down. She offered to throw them into the microwave for us. Red flag number two. The manager never apologized but later did offer to take half off the bill (she should have comped us....how much money would she be losing compared to losing two potential regulars?). I like Denny's...the food is usually consistent, prices are low, and they're always there when you're on vacation. This one is two miles from our house...I'll give it a pass.

I've been here a few times now for business lunches. Nothing fancy... hey, it's a Denny's... food was decent each time, and I can't say I've ever had "stomach upset" issues like another reviewer mentions (and I don't exactly have a cast-iron stomach).

I've eaten there many times over the last 20 years. Every time I say to myself "Maybe it will be better". Sadly, it never is. I'm not sure what it is, whether its clean or not, but I consistently get an upset stomach after I eat there.
